CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright light and some direct sunlight. For the abutilon to bloom abundantly and continuously, it needs a large amount of light (morning or evening sun on the east or west side is ideal). In too dark a place, it will become leggy and not flower. Protect it from very intense midday sun rays that can burn the thin leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Regular and generous (especially in summer months). Unlike many other houseplants, the indoor maple likes evenly slightly moist soil. Do not let the soil dry out completely – when thirsty, the plant will quickly drop its leaves and may shed flower buds! Water when the top layer of soil is slightly dry, but remember – it absolutely cannot tolerate root rot from standing water in the saucer!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives well at standard room temperature and tolerates normal indoor air. In warm summer months, this plant can and should be safely taken outside to fresh air on a sunny terrace or balcony! In winter (dormant period), it is best kept in a bright but slightly cooler room (12-15°C), protected from hot and dry radiators.

• 🐾 Pets: Friendly. This colorful and flowering plant is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• Bright and sunny windowsill in the living room or bedroom (an absolute prerequisite for beautiful flowering).

• Sunny balcony or terrace in summer (as a charming, flowering accent outdoors during the season).

• Winter garden (where it can grow undisturbed and delight with flowers).

It is important to know nature’s secrets: abutilons are extremely fast-growing and tend to become leggy, so do not hesitate to boldly prune (pinch) them in spring or summer! Shortening branches will stimulate the plant to become bushier, produce new side shoots, and flower even more abundantly, maintaining a compact and beautiful shape. Don’t forget to regularly remove old, faded flowers so the plant doesn’t waste energy producing seeds! During flowering, remember to regularly pamper it with fertilizer designed for flowering houseplants.
