The royally refreshing Aglaonema 'Lemon Mint' (Aglaonema 'Lemon Mint')
Get ready to bring absolute botanical freshness into your home or office, the energy of a tropical jungle and the toughest leaf queen in the world of houseplants - the stunning Aglaonema 'Lemon Mint'! This Asian tropical masterpiece is legendary for its ability to survive and look great even in the most challenging indoor conditions, while also serving as a prized design element. The greatest pride, magnet and unmistakable trademark of this particular variety is its breathtaking foliage: large, smooth and lush leaves boast a wonderful, refreshing play of colors, with a dark emerald-green background meeting light mint-green and soft lemon-yellow (veined) variegation. This bright and sparkling color combination visually lights up any corner of a room and creates a springtime atmosphere all year round. It has now grown into a neat, strong, notably dense and very bushy 30-35 cm tall plant in a generous 12 cm pot. It is the most prestigious, tasteful and reliable gift for a blessed home, busy office workers and anyone looking for a visually striking, yet completely self-sufficient wonder of nature!
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
-
☀️ Light: Hardy, but loves light! To preserve its wonderful light mint and lemon-yellow color combination, 'Lemon Mint' will do best in bright, but MUST have indirect light (an east- or west-facing window). It can survive in lower light, but in the shade its leaves will lose their vivid, light tones and simply turn dark green. Keep it strictly out of direct, scorching midday sunlight, which will quickly fade and scorch its colorful leaves.
-
💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful – this plant will forgive you for forgetting, but will never forgive overwatering! Water the plant generously, but ONLY when the top half of the soil (or even 2/3 of the pot depth) has completely dried out. It absolutely categorically cannot tolerate roots soaking in standing water in the saucer. If the light-colored leaves start turning completely yellow and soft en masse, this is a glaring sign of overwatering and root rot.
-
🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It thrives in ordinary, comfortable room temperatures (+18°C to +24°C). This tropical survivor is exceptionally well adapted to dry indoor air and does not require special misting, but it is extremely sensitive to cold! Protect it carefully from icy drafts and never keep it in a room where the air temperature drops below +15°C.
-
🐾 Keep away from pets and children: All parts of Aglaonema plants contain calcium oxalate crystals, which are toxic. Chewing or ingesting them causes a strong burning sensation in the mouth, swelling, and digestive upset in dogs and cats.

⚠️ A note and a dose of reality about aglaonemas: Plants are living organisms, and aglaonemas are among the few plants that truly live up to the description “almost indestructible,” as long as you avoid their one weak point - waterlogged soil in the pot. An important botanical fact: As the plant grows larger and gradually develops a thick stem, it is perfectly normal and natural for the very lowest, oldest leaf to turn yellow and dry up from time to time. This is not a cause for alarm! Simply cut it off. Remember - the more pale (mint and yellow) shades the leaves have, the more filtered light the plant will need to keep this unique coloring bright and prevent it from fading. When you repot it in the future, BE SURE to use a light, airy, well-draining potting mix (generously blended with perlite or fine pine bark).
🌡️ COLD TIME! If the outside temperature is below +5°C, be sure to add a heat pack to the order so that plants and predatory mites do not freeze on the way.
❄️ In cold weather, we recommend choosing Smartpost parcel lockers, as they provide indoor delivery, reducing the impact of low temperatures on the shipment.
⚠️ Important about the heating element! ‼️ 1 heating element per 1 order – it is not necessary to put one for each plant. ‼️ Provides heat for up to 72 hours. Without a heating element – we do not take responsibility for frozen plants and predatory mites.
📦 Pick it up promptly! When the package has been delivered, collect it the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold and heat can damage the plants and predatory mites.
