CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, generous, but ABSOLUTELY indirect light. This is the main secret behind this plant’s smoky green color and silvery veins: Alocasia longiloba 'Dwarf' naturally grows in the lower layer of tropical forests, so it needs plenty of filtered light (it will especially appreciate gentle morning sun). Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which can quickly burn its delicate leaves. An east- or west-facing windowsill and a spot directly near a window will suit it best.

• 💧 Watering: Regular, moderate, and very careful. Alocasias like consistent, light moisture in the soil, but they absolutely do not tolerate their roots and corm sitting in wet conditions. Water the plant moderately as soon as the top layer of soil (the upper 1 cm of the pot) has dried between waterings. The soil in the pot should be pleasantly moist, like a wrung-out sponge. Since this young plant is in a 6 cm pot, it will dry out relatively quickly, so it strictly cannot tolerate its roots and underground corm sitting in stagnant water in the saucer, which can rapidly cause rot. Reduce watering slightly in winter. Water only with lukewarm, soft, or filtered water.
