CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but indirect light. To maintain its beautiful metallic sheen and healthy growth, it needs plenty of light, but be sure to protect it from direct, scorching sunlight, which can quickly burn and fade its leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful. Alocasias are extremely sensitive to overwatering! Allow the top layer of soil (at least 3-5 cm deep) to dry out completely between waterings. It must not sit in standing water in the saucer, as this will literally cause the roots and tuber to rot within just a couple of days. Reduce watering slightly during the winter dormancy period.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It loves warmth and requires high humidity. It will be very grateful for a humidifier or a pebble tray with water. Strictly protect it from cold drafts, air currents from air conditioners, and sudden temperature fluctuations!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. It contains calcium oxalate crystals, which cause mouth irritation, drooling, swelling, and digestive tract problems when chewed. Keep it out of your pets’ reach!

🏠 IDEAL ROOM:

• Bright bathroom with a window (an absolutely ideal environment with naturally higher humidity and pleasant warmth from the shower).

• Aesthetic living room or bedroom (as a striking, sculptural design element near a window).

• Plant display case or glass cabinet (an excellent place to provide this exotic beauty with a stable and controlled tropical microclimate).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen may differ slightly from the one shown in the image. Alocasias are known to occasionally (especially under stress, when their environment changes, or during the dark winter months) naturally shed one of their older leaves in order to devote all their energy to growing a new leaf or root system. This is a natural process and no cause for panic! Also note that they are characterized by guttation—a natural process in which water droplets appear on the tips of the leaves in the morning, meaning that the plant is releasing excess moisture.
