CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, abundant, and maximally sunny conditions! This is the secret behind the plant's perfect, round shape and snow-white patterns: the astrophytum needs plenty of light. Place it on the brightest possible windowsill (south, southeast, or west-facing) so it receives direct sunlight. In insufficient light, it will begin to stretch unattractively, lose its symmetrical shape, and never bloom.

• 💧 Watering: Extremely rare, minimal, and very careful! Water the plant thoroughly, but ONLY when the soil in the pot is completely, 100% dry all the way to the very bottom of the pot! It will tolerate very long periods of drought, but categorically cannot tolerate its roots sitting in stagnant water in the saucer, which will quickly cause rot from within. As autumn begins, drastically reduce watering, and during the winter months (from November to March), stop watering completely, allowing the plant to rest.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It feels excellent and comfortable in summer heat and warmth. This plant tolerates dry indoor air without any problems and requires absolutely no misting. The golden secret to flowering: in winter, the cactus would ideally benefit from a distinct dormant period in dry conditions and a cooler room (+8°C to +12°C) - this coolness will stimulate the formation of yellow flower buds for spring!

Do not be surprised if the plant seems to barely change in size for months or even years - it is simply thickening unhurriedly and developing its relief. This species is extremely sensitive to overwatering and organic soil. When you decide to repot it in the future, after several years, you MUST use a special, highly mineralized, and exceptionally porous soil mix (consisting of at least 70-80% pumice, akadama, and gravel, with only a small amount of peat) to ensure fast and perfect drainage.
