CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, diffused light. To maintain the beautiful and deep leaf color, the plant needs plenty of light, but it must be protected from direct sunlight, which can quickly burn its thin, velvety leaves. In too dark a place, the leaves may lose their intense darkness and turn greener.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful. Keep the soil lightly moist, allowing the surface layer to dry slightly between waterings. Important: water the soil along the pot edges or preferably from below (through the saucer). Never pour water directly on the leaves or the center of the plant, as begonias are very susceptible to rot and fungal diseases.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves warmth and high humidity. The plant will greatly appreciate the presence of a humidifier, but it must never be misted by spraying water directly on the leaves (on the velvety leaves this will instantly cause unsightly brown spots and rot)! Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. Like other begonias, this one is toxic to cats and dogs (especially the roots/tubers), causing oral irritation and digestive issues, so keep this "dark mamba" out of reach of pets.

• Bright living room (on a shelf or dresser as a distinctly modern, contrasting, and dramatic design element).
