CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For begonias to bloom magnificently or maintain their leaf’s vivid patterns, they need a lot of light. However, strictly protect them from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will quickly burn their very delicate and juicy leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is an absolutely excellent choice.

• 💧 Watering: Regular but very careful! Begonias like evenly slightly moist soil, but they are extremely sensitive to improper watering. The most important rule: when watering, water must not come into contact with the plant’s leaves or stems! Wetting the leaves almost always causes fungal diseases and rot. It is best to water the plant from below (pour water into the saucer, let the plant drink for 15-20 minutes, then be sure to drain the excess water). They strictly cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: They thrive at standard room temperature. Begonias really like increased air humidity, but since their leaves are covered with fine hairs, it is strictly forbidden to mist this plant’s leaves! To increase humidity, use a humidifier or place the pot on a tray with pebbles and water. Strictly protect from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs (especially its roots/bulbs). Chewing it can cause severe oral irritation, drooling, and vomiting. Keep it safely out of reach of your pets!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• A bright windowsill in the bedroom or living room (where the plant receives morning or evening sun but is protected from the midday heat).

• An office desk with good natural lighting (as a noticeable and colorful accent).

It is important to know nature’s secrets: begonia stems and leaves are extremely fragile, so handle them very gently to avoid breaking shoots. If you have a flowering begonia, don’t forget to regularly and carefully pinch or cut off faded, dry flowers – this will not only keep the plant looking neat but also stimulate the formation of new buds! When repotting, use very airy, nutrient-rich, and light houseplant soil (with incorporated perlite), ensuring perfect drainage.
