• ☀️ Light: Bright, but MUST be indirect (filtered) light or partial shade. Here's the secret to this plant's delicate leaves: in nature, the fern grows in the shade of large trees, so it absolutely cannot tolerate direct, scorching midday sun. In direct sunlight, the leaves will quickly fade, get scorched and become crisp. An east-, west- or north-facing windowsill is ideal.

• 💧 Watering: Regular and generous! Unlike succulents, this tropical lady has one strict requirement – the soil must stay evenly, slightly moist at all times! If you let the soil dry out completely, the fern's leaves will wither quickly and won't recover. However, be careful not to leave the plant standing in water for a long time – excess water must be poured out of the saucer after watering.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A lover of warmth and high humidity! It feels great and comfortable in warm indoor temperatures (+18°C to +25°C). It absolutely hates hot, stuffy, dry air from heating radiators, as well as icy drafts. In winter, mist it regularly or keep it near a humidifier.

First, you need to be careful about watering – the plant will never forgive forgetfulness or letting it dry out completely. Second, as the plant grows, over the years it will slowly begin to develop a real little trunk, and it is completely natural for the lowest row of leaves to turn brown and wither over time, forming this trunk. Don't panic! Simply cut off the brown lower leaves, and the plant will look more and more like a little tropical palm. When repotting, use a high-quality, very well-draining, slightly acidic houseplant potting mix (soil for ferns).
