CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Moderate to medium-bright, but MANDATORILY indirect light. In nature, this plant grows on the rainforest floor, beneath the shade of enormous trees, so it adores gentle lighting. Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which will quickly burn its dark, neon-glowing leaves and irreversibly fade them. An east- or north-facing windowsill, or a spot slightly farther into the room, would be ideal.

• 💧 Watering: Regular, consistent, and well-balanced. Calatheas like even, pleasant moisture - their roots must not dry out completely, but they must not sit in a swamp either. Water only when the very top layer of the soil has just begun to dry out! The plant absolutely cannot tolerate its roots soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot. It is recommended to use soft, settled, or filtered room-temperature water.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A heat-loving tropical resident (ideally +18°C to +24°C) that absolutely requires increased humidity (above 55-60%). In the dry indoor air caused by winter heating, the edges of its exotic leaves will quickly begin to dry out and curl. Therefore, 'Dottie' will be delighted to live near a humidifier, in a closed plant cabinet, or on a pebble tray with water. Keep it strictly away from cold drafts!
