Royal Fiery Chlorophytum 'Fire Flash' (Chlorophytum amaniense 'Fire Flash')

Get ready to bring sparkling sunlight, tropical warmth, and the most extraordinary color contrast in the world of houseplants into your home or office – the stunning Chlorophytum 'Fire Flash' (Chlorophytum amaniense 'Fire Flash' / 'Green Orange')! This exclusive variety, highly prized among interior designers, is the complete opposite of the ordinary striped spider plants we have known since childhood. The plant’s greatest pride, eye-catching feature, and unmistakable signature is its breathtaking color combination: from the base, broad, smooth, glossy leaves in a rich emerald shade emerge in a lush rosette, held by strikingly fiery orange and coral-colored leaf stalks and central veins. This inner “fiery glow” at the heart of the clump creates a stunning 3D effect and a sunny atmosphere even on the grayest day. In addition to its elite appearance, 'Fire Flash' is one of the world’s most powerful air-purifying champions, actively cleansing the room of toxins while requiring no complicated care. It is currently a beautifully established, strong, notably dense, and stable 30 cm specimen in an excellent-volume 12 cm pot. It is the most prestigious, tasteful, and unique gift for bringing blessings to a home, refreshing office air, and delighting anyone who loves bright and dependable accents!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: Bright to moderate, but обязательно diffused light. This is the main secret behind the plant’s fiery orange stalks: 'Fire Flash' chlorophytum needs pleasant, filtered light to preserve the famous brightness of its coral and orange tones (it will especially enjoy gentle morning sun). Although the plant adapts surprisingly well to partial shade indoors, the orange color may become paler in a spot that is too dark. Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which can quickly burn its broad leaves. An east- or west-facing windowsill will be the perfect choice!

  • 💧 Watering: Regular, moderate, and thoughtful. The plant likes consistently light moisture, but it does not tolerate roots standing in stagnant water. Water the plant generously, but only when the top layer of soil (the upper 1–2 cm of the pot) has dried out between waterings. The soil in the pot should be pleasantly moist, like a wrung-out sponge. Since the specimen is in a stable 12 cm pot, it will retain moisture well, but the plant strictly cannot tolerate its roots or the base of the rosette standing in stagnant water in the saucer, which can quickly cause rot. Reduce watering in winter. Important tip: it is best to water with soft, settled, or filtered water to help prevent browning at the leaf tips.

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Feels excellent and comfortable in warmth (+18°C to +25°C). This chlorophytum adapts exceptionally well to ordinary indoor air without any problems and does not require mandatory misting. However, during the heating season, it will appreciate having its leaves occasionally wiped with a damp cloth and being placed away from hot radiators. Protect it from icy drafts in winter!

  • 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly / Safe. Chlorophytums are completely non-toxic and absolutely safe to keep in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

  • Bright living rooms, bedrooms, desks, and bedside tables, where this orange-and-green color contrast can be viewed up close and serve as the main design accent.

  • Modern office spaces and home work areas, where the plant’s air-purifying abilities and sunny appearance will improve well-being and productivity.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Height: 30 cm (a beautifully established, strong, notably dense, lush, and already highly visible specimen)

  • Pot diameter: 12 cm (a stable and generous volume that supports strong and healthy root-system development)

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about chlorophytums: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its exact leaf width and orange color intensity may vary slightly, creating a unique natural form. Since this is already a nicely established specimen in a stable 12 cm pot, it is hardy and will not require immediate repotting for some time. When you repot it in the future, use a fertile, light, peaty, and well-draining houseplant potting mix with added perlite so that the roots always have access to oxygen.

📦 Pick it up promptly! When the package has been delivered, collect it the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold and heat can damage the plants and predatory mites.
