Royal Plant of Luck and Harmony – “Lucky Bamboo” (Dracaena sanderiana)
Get ready to bring true Eastern harmony, Feng Shui energy, and the most popular symbol of good fortune in the world of houseplants into your home, office, or relaxation area – the stunning “Lucky Bamboo” (Dracaena sanderiana)! Although this plant resembles real bamboo in appearance and is commonly known by that name, it is actually an especially hardy and elegant variety of dracaena. The plant’s greatest pride, its magnetism, and its unmistakable signature feature are its breathtaking, sculptural silhouette: strong, smooth, and distinctly segmented stems in a shimmering emerald-green shade, topped with lush rosettes of spear-shaped green leaves. In Eastern cultures, “Lucky Bamboo” is considered a powerful attractor of prosperity, health, peace, and financial success. One of this plant’s greatest advantages is its phenomenal adaptability and ease of care – it can be grown equally successfully in a decorative glass vase with water and pebbles or later planted in soil. It is currently a beautifully mature, strong, notably tall, and slender 35–45 cm plant (supplied without a pot, ready to be placed in your favorite vase or container). It is the most prestigious, tasteful, and meaningful gift for bringing blessings to a home, starting a new business, decorating office desks, or anyone seeking living, green tranquility in their surroundings!
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
-
☀️ Light: Moderate to bright, but ABSOLUTELY indirect light. This is the secret behind the plant’s lush green leaves and stem: dracaena needs pleasant, filtered light. The plant adapts flawlessly and consistently to partial shade indoors, making it an exceptionally versatile interior element. Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which can quickly burn its leaves and turn them yellow. An east-, west-, or bright north-facing location will be ideal.
-
💧 Water / Watering:
-
If growing in water: Place the base of the stem approximately 2–5 cm deep in clean, settled, filtered, or spring water. Change the water regularly – once every 1–2 weeks to prevent bacteria and algae from forming. Important tip: dracaenas are very sensitive to the chlorine and limescale found in tap water, so always use settled or filtered water.
-
If planting in soil: Water moderately as soon as the top layer of soil has dried slightly. The soil should be pleasantly moist, but not wet.
-
-
🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It feels perfectly comfortable at normal room temperatures (+18°C to +26°C). This plant adapts easily and completely trouble-free to ordinary indoor air. The only rule: protect it from temperatures below +15°C and cold, icy drafts during winter!
-
🐾 Pets: Keep away from pets. Dracaenas contain saponins, which may cause mild digestive irritation in cats and dogs if the leaves are chewed. Place this beautiful lucky plant somewhere inaccessible to your four-legged friends.
🏠 IDEAL LOCATIONS:
-
In glass vases on coffee tables, desks, bedside tables, or in bathrooms (if there is a natural light source), where the smooth stem and water will create a calming spa-like atmosphere.
-
Modern offices and home entryways, where the plant’s Feng Shui energy and clean lines will bring harmony and attract good fortune.
SPECIFICATIONS:
-
Height: 35–45 cm (a beautifully mature, strong, notably tall, straight, and already highly eye-catching plant)
-
Pot type: No pot (supplied as a bare-root/stem plant with an established or developing root system, ready to be placed in a vase with water or planted in a pot)
⚠️ Note and a touch of reality about “Lucky Bamboo”: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its exact stem thickness, number of segments, and density of leaf rosettes is a unique work of nature. Important tip: if you choose to grow it in water, you can place small, washed pebbles or decorative glass stones at the bottom of the vase – this will help the stem stand perfectly straight and securely. If you decide to plant it in soil in the future, use a light, peat-based, well-draining houseplant soil mix amended with perlite.
