CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but обязательно diffused light (filtered through curtains). This is the secret behind the plant's vivid green leaves: The Areca palm needs plenty of light to maintain its density. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which can quickly burn its delicate leaves, making them dull, yellowish, and dried out. An east- or west-facing windowsill will be perfect.

• 💧 Watering: Regular, maintaining even moisture while avoiding overwatering! Water the plant generously when the top couple of centimeters of soil have dried out. The Areca palm loves consistently (but very lightly) moist soil and reacts extremely poorly to being allowed to dry out completely, which immediately results in large numbers of dried leaves. At the same time, it absolutely cannot tolerate its roots soaking in standing water in the saucer - always drain away excess water!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A heat- and humidity-loving tropical plant (+18°C to +25°C). Humidity is this plant's weak point and number-one requirement! It absolutely loves increased air humidity, regular misting, and even warm showers (which wash away dust beautifully). In winter, strictly protect it from the dry, hot air of radiators and icy drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly / Non-toxic. The Areca palm is 100% non-toxic and completely safe to keep in your home with curious cats and dogs. (However, cats often like chewing its thin leaves like grass, which can spoil the plant's appearance).

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about indoor palms: Plants are living organisms, and when growing palms indoors, one aesthetic truth must be accepted: brown leaf tips are almost inevitable. This is not a disease, but the plant's reaction to dry indoor air or irregular watering (hard tap water). It is merely a cosmetic defect - you can safely take scissors and trim off these brown tips, but be careful not to cut into the living green part of the leaf (leave a 1 mm brown edge)! Secondly, the Areca palm grows as a bush, gradually producing new, more upright, and stronger stems from the base. Since it loves humidity and dense foliage, its greatest enemy in dry air is the spider mite - regularly rinsing the leaves in the shower will serve as perfect prevention!
