CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Maximum bright light and direct sunlight. The fig tree is an absolute sun lover! To maintain beautiful, dense foliage and possibly even bloom or set some fruit, it vitally needs a lot of sun. A south or southwest-facing windowsill is an absolutely ideal choice.

• 💧 Watering: Abundant in summer, but very minimal in winter. During the active growing season (spring and summer), keep the soil evenly moist but not muddy. When the plant enters dormancy in winter and drops its leaves, reduce watering to an absolute minimum, allowing the soil to dry out thoroughly to prevent root rot.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves warmth in summer and requires coolness in winter. During the warm months, it is strongly recommended to take the plant outside into fresh air and sun (on a balcony, terrace, or garden). However, for the plant to survive long-term, it vitally needs a cool winter dormancy period – in autumn/winter it should be placed in a cool room (ideally around 0–10°C).

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. Like other plants in the Ficus family, the fig tree’s leaves and stems contain a white, sticky sap (latex) that is toxic and irritating to both pets and people with sensitive skin. Keep it out of reach of your pets!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• Sunny terrace, balcony, or garden (absolutely the best place during summer months where it will get direct sun and wind).

• Cool and glazed veranda, basement, or garage (ideal and necessary place for the mandatory cool winter dormancy).

• Sunny living room (if the plant is kept indoors during the active growing season).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen may differ slightly from the one shown in the picture. The most important thing to know about the fig tree: it is a deciduous plant! This means that in autumn the leaves will naturally yellow and fall off, leaving only bare branches. This is not a reason to panic and the plant is not dead! It is simply going into winter dormancy, so that in spring, with the return of warmth and light, it will bloom again with new vigor.
