Ficus pumila White Sunny

Dwarf Ficus or Creeping Fig 'White Sunny' (Ficus pumila 'White Sunny')

This extremely delicate, dense and romantic Dwarf Ficus 'White Sunny' is a charming and very fast-growing vine that will liven up any corner with its presence! It stands out with hundreds of tiny, heart-shaped leaves decorated with a beautiful, irregular creamy-white edge (the main hallmark of the 'White Sunny' variety). This plant is an excellent climber and creeper - you can let it hang elegantly from a shelf, crawl across the soil surface in the pot of another large plant, or attach it to a support and let it climb upward (its delicate aerial roots can cling to almost any surface!). It is a dynamic, elegant and air-purifying houseplant that will add an airy, fresh and wild touch of nature to any interior. It is a wonderful and aesthetically pleasing gift for lovers of vines and delicate natural forms!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but indirect light. To maintain its beautiful white leaf-edge variegation and grow densely, the ficus needs plenty of light. In a spot that is too dark, it will become leggy and the leaves may turn completely green. Protect it strictly from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which will quickly burn its thin, delicate leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Regular and very attentive. This is where the secret to this plant's survival lies: the dwarf ficus likes evenly and lightly moist soil, and it absolutely cannot tolerate drying out! If you allow the soil to dry out completely, its delicate leaves will literally become dry and crisp and fall off within just a few hours. However, remember that it also cannot tolerate having its roots sit in stagnant water in the saucer!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It feels great at standard room temperature. However, this little jungle dweller literally adores higher humidity (so it will appreciate regular misting or the presence of a humidifier). In winter, protect it carefully from cold drafts and keep it away from hot, dry radiators, which can dry out the leaf tips!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. The milky sap (latex) characteristic of the ficus family may cause oral irritation, drooling, vomiting and allergic skin reactions if chewed. Keep it out of your pets' reach!

🏠 BEST ROOM:

• A bright bathroom with a window (an absolutely ideal location, as the plant will love the natural humidity there, which will protect its leaves from drying out).

• A high shelf or hanging pot (allowing its long, delicate stems to hang down freely and elegantly).

• A large terrarium or plant cabinet (an excellent understory or ground-cover plant for a humid microclimate).

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Height: 15 cm

• Pot diameter: 9 cm

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the fullness of its crown may vary slightly. It is important to know nature's secrets: this ficus has aerial roots (adhesive roots) that it uses in nature to creep along tree trunks, while at home it can cling to walls, furniture or supports - be careful, as removing the plant from a wall or furniture may leave small marks! If the stems become too long, lose leaves or start to look untidy, do not be afraid to prune the plant boldly (trim it) - it will recover very quickly and become bushy again. When repotting, use an airy, moisture-retentive houseplant soil with good drainage.
