This extremely charming and expressive Weeping Fig or Arrowleaf Fig (Ficus sagittata) is a magnificent vine that will enliven any room with its presence! It stands out with its beautiful, elongated (slightly arrow-shaped) leaves, which are densely and symmetrically arranged along the long stems. This plant is an excellent climber and crawler – you can let it elegantly hang down from a high shelf or a hanging pot, or attach it to a vertical support, allowing it to climb upwards. It is a dynamic, fast-growing, and air-purifying houseplant that will add an airy, fresh, and wild jungle accent to any interior. It makes a great, room-brightening, and aesthetic gift for lovers of vines and expressive foliage!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the fig to grow dense, lush, and retain its vibrant color, it needs a lot of light. In too dark a place, the stems will stretch and the leaves will become sparse. Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will quickly burn its thin leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Regular and very attentive. This plant likes evenly slightly moist soil, and it absolutely cannot tolerate complete drying out! If you let the soil in the pot dry out completely, its leaves will quickly become dry, crispy, and fall off. However, remember – it also cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will cause rot!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Feels great at standard room temperature. This tropical resident literally loves increased air humidity (so it will be very happy with regular misting or the presence of a humidifier). In winter, strictly protect it from cold drafts and keep it at a safe distance from hot, dry heating radiators, which can quickly dry out leaf tips!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. The white sap (latex) characteristic of the fig family can cause severe mouth irritation, drooling, vomiting, and digestive issues if chewed. Keep it out of reach of pets!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE ROOM:

• Bright bathroom with a window (an absolutely ideal place, as the plant will love the natural humidity there, which protects against leaf drying).

• High shelf, top of a cabinet, or hanging pot (allowing its long tendrils to hang freely and elegantly down, creating a green "waterfall").

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its stem length may vary slightly. It is important to know nature’s secrets: if the stems become too long or lose leaves at the bottom, don’t hesitate to boldly prune the plant in spring – this will stimulate new growth and help maintain a lush shape! Cuttings can be easily rooted in water. Remember that when tearing leaves or cutting branches, the plant releases a white, sticky sap that can irritate sensitive skin, so it is advisable to use gloves and wash your hands afterward. When repotting, use a light, nutrient-rich, moisture-retentive houseplant soil with good drainage.
