This extremely romantic, creeping, and visually delicate Ficus 'Sagittata Variegata Pink' is quite different from large, tree-like ficuses! It is a rarer vine and groundcover species, distinguished by elongated (arrow-shaped), slightly wavy leaves adorned with charming white and cream variegation. But the most special and desirable feature of this variety – when receiving enough light, the new leaves and variegated edges of this plant turn soft pink tones! Currently, it is a very small baby (seedling), but with proper and patient care, it will quickly form a dense, colorful, and cascading cascade (or happily climb up a provided support). It is a dynamic, airy, and moisture-loving trailing houseplant that will add a delicate, pastel-toned natural accent to any interior. It makes a great and aesthetic gift for rarity hunters and those who appreciate the presence of pink hues in the plant world!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. Here lies the main secret of this plant’s pink color: the white parts of the leaves require a lot of light to develop and maintain their pigment. In a dark place, it will grow slowly, lose its variegation, and become leggy. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will quickly burn its thin, light leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is an absolutely excellent choice.

• 💧 Watering: Regular and very attentive! Unlike large, leathery ficuses, this fine-leaved vine is much thirstier. Keep the soil evenly lightly moist, allowing only the top layer of soil to dry out. It is extremely sensitive to drying out (leaves literally curl up and fall off), but it also absolutely cannot tolerate root rot from standing water in the saucer!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature and literally loves increased air humidity! In dry indoor air, the delicate leaf tips can quickly dry out and brown. A humidifier nearby will be a fantastic helper. Strictly protect it from sudden temperature changes and cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Strictly not pet-friendly. Ficuses secrete a white, sticky sap (latex) that is toxic to both cats and dogs. Chewing or contact with mucous membranes causes severe irritation and digestive issues. Keep it absolutely out of reach of pets!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• Bright plant showcase or glass terrarium (ideal and protected environment for small plants of this size and their need for constant air humidity).

• Bright and warm spot near a humidifier or in a hanging pot by an east-facing window.

⚠️ Note and reality check about seedlings: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its pink tone intensity may vary. It is extremely important to remember that you are receiving a seedling! Small plants must be handled much more gently and patiently. It is important to know nature’s secrets: pink and reddish tones usually appear and are brightest on very new leaves. As they mature, they may gradually turn white-green – this is a completely normal natural process, not a plant disease! Also, remember the “dramatic” nature of ficuses – when stressed or moved, they may drop a few leaves. Find one stable, bright spot for it and do not move it again. When repotting, use airy and loose houseplant soil richly mixed with perlite for perfect drainage.
