Fittonia 4

Fittonia (Fittonia)

This charming and delicate Fittonia, often called the “nerve plant” because of its distinctive and delicate leaf veining, is a true wonder of color and natural patterns. It is an ideal, compact, and highly decorative houseplant that will bring a noticeable and cheerful accent to any interior with its bright pink, white, or red leaves. It is a wonderful and very “talkative” gift for nature lovers, because Fittonia will never let you forget to water it—when thirsty, it will dramatically droop its leaves, but just a few hours after watering, they will perk right back up!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: A bright spot with indirect light or partial shade. The plant needs light to maintain its beautiful and contrasting leaf veining, but it must be strictly protected from direct sunlight, which will quickly bleach and scorch its delicate leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Regular. Keep the soil constantly and evenly moist, but do not let the roots sit in muddy water. Fittonia does not tolerate prolonged drying out. When you notice the plant’s leaves beginning to wilt and bend downward, it is a clear sign that it needs a drink immediately.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It loves warmth and very high humidity. The plant will be extremely grateful for regular, fine misting (especially in the dry air of the heating season) or the presence of a humidifier. Protect it from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This colorful natural wonder is non-toxic and completely safe to keep in your home with cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Glass florarium or plant terrarium (an absolutely ideal environment for providing the plant with the tropical humidity it needs so much).

• Bathroom with a window (the plant will literally enjoy the warmth and humidity that naturally prevail there).

• Office desk in a shadier part of the room (a small, colorful, and motivating accent for the workday).

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Height: 10-15 cm

• Pot diameter: 8.5 cm
