Royal Zebra Haworthia (Haworthia fasciata / Haworthiopsis attenuata)

Get ready to bring absolute botanical minimalism, striking geometry, and the most stylish and graphic mini succulent in the world of houseplants into your home, office, or on your desk - the stunning Zebra Haworthia (Haworthia / often popularly called the zebra cactus, although it is not a cactus at all)! This exclusive South African natural masterpiece is a true find for lovers of delicate textures and exceptionally easy-care plants. The plant's greatest pride, magnet, and unmistakable hallmark is its breathtaking silhouette and leaf pattern: firm, fleshy, pointed, dark emerald-green leaves are arranged in a dense, star-shaped rosette and richly decorated on the outside with raised, pearl-like snow-white bumps, creating a perfect and pleasantly tactile zebra-stripe pattern. This vivid green-and-white contrast makes it an outstanding design micro-accent. It is currently a nicely grown, strong, exceptionally dense, and highly promising 10 cm plant in a compact 8.5 cm pot. It is the most prestigious, tasteful, and reliable gift for housewarmings, busy office workers, beginner plant owners, and anyone looking for a visually striking yet completely self-sufficient natural wonder!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: Bright and abundant, but (unlike cacti) indirect light is recommended. This is the main secret behind this plant's vivid zebra stripes and good health: Haworthia will love gentle morning or afternoon sun (an east- or west-facing windowsill). Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun (in a south-facing window) in midsummer, as it can quickly scorch its fleshy leaves and turn them an unattractive reddish-brown or purple stress color.

  • 💧 Watering: Extremely infrequent, minimal, and very cautious - this plant is a hardy succulent whose thick leaves are full of water reserves! Water the plant thoroughly, but ONLY when the soil in the pot is completely, 100% dry all the way to the very bottom of the pot! Haworthia can withstand weeks of drought, but it absolutely cannot tolerate having its roots soaked in standing water in the saucer. Always pour off excess water; otherwise, the roots will rot within literally a couple of days. Reduce watering drastically in winter.

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It feels excellent and comfortable at normal room temperatures (+18°C to +25°C). This plant handles dry indoor air without any problems, including the heat of the heating season, and requires no misting or air humidification whatsoever.

  • 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly / Non-toxic. Unlike aloe, with which it is often visually confused, Zebra Haworthia is completely non-toxic and absolutely safe to keep in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 IDEAL LOCATION:

  • Bright desks, narrow shelves, children's rooms, and coffee tables, where this structured micro-accent will draw attention without taking up much space.

  • Modern, minimalist, Scandinavian, or Wabi-Sabi-style interiors, where clean geometric lines and black-and-white/green contrasts create visual order.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Height: 10 cm

  • Pot diameter: 8.5 cm

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about Haworthias: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its precise arrangement of white "pearls" is a completely unique natural masterpiece. Important botanical fact: Haworthias are incredibly slow-growing. Do not be surprised if the plant seems not to change size for months - this is normal and means it is developing peacefully. If the very tips of the leaves suddenly begin to dry out and turn brown (or, even worse, the leaves become soft and translucent), this is a clear sign that the plant has been overwatered and its roots are drowning. When you repot it in the future, after a year or two, be SURE to use a special mineralized, sandy, and highly porous cactus/succulent soil mix (containing plenty of gravel and perlite) to ensure rapid drainage. Ordinary houseplant peat will quickly kill this plant!

📦 Pick it up promptly! When the package has been delivered, collect it the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold and heat can damage the plants and predatory mites.
