This extremely popular and classically beautiful Wax Flower 'Tricolor' is one of the favorite houseplants, boasting both stunning foliage and magical flowers! It stands out with its thick, fleshy leaves adorned with a wonderful tricolor mix – lush green, creamy white, and, when receiving enough sunlight, a romantically soft pink. But its true pride is revealed when it blooms (as shown in the first image) – it produces dense, fluffy, and extremely delicate star-shaped flower clusters that emit a strong, sweet, and intoxicating fragrance in the evenings and nights. It is an elegant, hanging or support-climbing houseplant that will add a cozy, dynamic, and colorful accent to any interior. It is an ideal, legendary long-living, and completely safe gift for any nature lover!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Maximum bright light and some direct sunlight (especially morning or afternoon sun). For the plant to develop and maintain its famous pink "tricolor" coloring on new leaves and, most importantly, to be able to form flower buds, sunlight is vital! In too dark a place, the plant will survive without problems, but the leaves will lose their variegation and it will not bloom.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful. The thick leaves of the wax flower store water well, so allow the top layer of soil to dry out thoroughly (almost completely) between watering. It absolutely cannot tolerate overwatering and sitting in standing water in the saucer – this will quickly cause fine root rot and leaf drop.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature. Being a tropical epiphyte, it will appreciate increased air humidity, but Hoya carnosa varieties are legendary for their ability to adapt excellently even to very dry indoor air. Protect it from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This gorgeous and fragrant tropical vine is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Bright hanging pot or tall shelf (the absolute best place, allowing its long, colorful tendrils to elegantly and freely hang down).

• Sunny windowsill in the living room or kitchen (to ensure vivid leaf coloring and maximize flowering stimulation).

• Bedroom (but note – when the plant blooms, its scent at night will be very intense and strong!).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen may differ slightly from the description. It is important to know the golden rule of wax flowers: never, under any circumstances, cut off spent flower stalks (the small, hard "stems" that held the flowers)! Hoyas bloom again and again from the same small stem, so cutting it off means flowers will never appear in that spot again. Remember, the first image shows an example of blooming – to have the plant bloom in your home, provide it with enough bright light and patience!
