CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the Hoya to grow new leaves, bloom abundantly, and most importantly, maintain the pronounced silvery speckling on the leaves, it needs a large amount of light. In too dark a place, the leaves will grow greener and the plant will not flower. Protect it from very harsh midday sun rays, which can quickly burn its fleshy leaves or turn them yellowish.

• 💧 Watering: Rare and very careful. Hoya leaves are thick (they store water like succulents), so they tolerate drying out much better than overwatering! Allow the soil to almost completely dry out between watering sessions. It absolutely cannot tolerate roots sitting in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot and plant death.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature and adapts well to normal indoor light. This tropical plant won’t mind slightly increased humidity but should not be excessively misted. Strictly protect from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This fragrant and silvery vine is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the amount of silvery "freckles" on the leaves is completely unique and may vary slightly. Important to know the secrets of nature about Hoyas: they tend to suddenly produce long, "bare" vines without leaves. Never cut these off! New leaves and flower clusters will eventually grow on these vines. Also remember – when the Hoya has finished flowering, do not cut off the old flower stalk, because next year’s new flowers will form from the same stalk! When repotting, be sure to use very light and loose soil (soil richly mixed with orchid bark and perlite works great) so the epiphytic roots can breathe freely.
