CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but indirect light. For the hoya to grow new leaves, flower abundantly, and, most importantly, maintain its distinctive silver variegation on the leaves, it needs plenty of light. In a location that is too dark, the leaves will grow greener and the plant will not flower. Protect it from very intense midday sunlight, which can quickly scorch or yellow its fleshy leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Infrequent and very careful. Hoya leaves are thick (they store water just like succulents), so they tolerate drying out much better than overwatering! Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. It categorically cannot tolerate its roots soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot and the plant's death.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It feels excellent at standard room temperature and adapts well to ordinary indoor air. This tropical plant will not complain about slightly higher humidity, but it should not be misted excessively. Protect it firmly from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This fragrant, silver-leaved vine is non-toxic and completely safe to keep in your home with curious cats and dogs.

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so every specimen and the amount of silver "freckles" on its leaves are completely unique and may vary slightly from plant to plant. It is important to know a natural secret about hoyas: they are known to suddenly produce long, "bare" leafless vines. Do not cut them under any circumstances! New leaves will eventually grow on these vines, and flower clusters may also form there. Also remember that when a hoya has finished flowering, do not cut off the old flower stalk, because new flowers will form from that same stalk the following year! When repotting, be sure to use very airy, loose soil (soil generously mixed with orchid bark and perlite is ideal) so that the epiphytic roots can breathe freely.
