CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, but ABSOLUTELY indirect light. This is the main secret behind this plant’s beauty: for the hoya to maintain such an intense, clear silver mosaic pattern on its leaves and have enough energy to climb, it needs plenty of light (it will especially enjoy the gentle rays of the morning or late evening sun). However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which will quickly burn its flat leaves. An east- or west-facing windowsill is an excellent choice.

• 💧 Watering: Very careful and moderate. Because its leaves lie closely against the support, moisture remains underneath them for longer. Allow the soil to dry out thoroughly between waterings! The plant absolutely cannot tolerate its roots soaking in standing water, which will quickly cause the sensitive roots and leaf bases to rot. It is best to water when the substrate feels completely dry.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A heat-loving tropical inhabitant (ideally +20°C to +26°C) that will be extremely happy with increased air humidity (above 60%). High air humidity is vital for its aerial roots beneath the leaves to function successfully and help new leaves lie closely against the support surface. It will be absolutely delighted to live near a humidifier or in a plant cabinet/display case. Protect it carefully from cold drafts in winter!

🏠 IDEAL LOCATION:

• A bright and warm spot on a shelf or windowsill in the morning/evening sun, providing the plant with a stable vertical surface (a wooden board, piece of bark, or moss pole) for its leaves to "climb" and lie against.

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about wax flowers: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the exact density of its silver speckling may vary slightly. It is important to understand nature’s secrets: this hoya CANNOT grow downward as a freely trailing plant. If it does not have a flat surface against which to press its leaves, it will begin producing long, bare tendrils, desperately searching for support. When the plant outgrows its existing support, simply extend it with a wooden board or piece of bark. When repotting this plant in the future, ALWAYS use an extremely airy, loose, and porous epiphyte/aroid soil mix generously blended with large pieces of orchid bark, coconut chips, and perlite, so the roots receive as much oxygen as possible and excess moisture drains through the pot immediately.
