This extremely charming, compact, and exotic Hoya or Wax Flower 'Rosita' is a true natural gem, created by crossing two fantastic Hoya species (Hoya wayetii and Hoya tsangii)! It stands out with elongated, fleshy, and juicy leaves, decorated with a dark green center and bold red or burgundy edges. This variety is famous for its ability to literally "tan" in the sun, developing even more expressive and darker shades. CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, diffused light with some direct morning or evening sun rays! Here lies the main secret of this plant’s beauty: for the Hoya to develop and maintain its characteristic red leaf edges and to be able to bloom in the future, it vitally needs a large amount of sunlight. However, protect it from scorching midday summer rays, which can burn the leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is an absolutely great choice.

• 💧 Watering: Rare and very careful. As a plant with fleshy, succulent-type leaves, Hoya has excellent water reserves. Allow the top layer and the middle layer of the soil to dry out thoroughly between watering! The best indicator: if the leaves are very hard and firm, the plant does not need watering; if they become a bit softer and easier to bend – it’s time to drink. It absolutely cannot tolerate root rot caused by standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root decay.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Feels great at standard room temperature and adapts easily to normal indoor light (no need for misting). In winter, protect it from cold drafts, but it will appreciate a slightly cooler room (around 16–18°C), which helps stimulate spring flowering.

• 🐾 Pets: Friendly. This gorgeous wax flower is completely non-toxic and absolutely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• A high shelf or hanging pot in a sunny spot (an absolutely ideal place that will allow the long shoots to elegantly hang down).

• A bright and sunny windowsill (the perfect condition for bright red leaf edges and flowering).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the intensity of its red coloring may vary (the more sun, the brighter the plant!). It is important to know the greatest natural secret of Hoya: when your wax flower has finished blooming, NEVER cut off the small, dry "stem" (inflorescence stalk) where the flowers were attached! Hoyas form new flower buds next season exactly from those same old flower stalks. If the vines become too long, they can be safely trimmed, and the cuttings are very easy to root in water. When repotting, it is strictly forbidden to use dense and heavy houseplant soil! Hoyas are epiphytes in nature, so be sure to use an extremely airy aroid or orchid soil mix (containing lots of bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss) so their delicate roots can breathe freely.
