CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the medinilla to develop and maintain its massive flowers, it needs plenty of light. However, it must be strictly protected from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which can quickly burn its beautiful leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is an ideal choice.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful. In its native habitat, medinilla grows as an epiphyte on tree branches, so its roots vitally need air. Keep the soil slightly moist during flowering and active growth, but allow the top layer (at least 3-5 cm) to dry well between waterings. Important: the plant must never sit in standing water in a saucer, as this will quickly cause root rot and flower bud drop!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves warmth and requires high air humidity. It will be delighted by the presence of a humidifier, but avoid spraying water directly on the flowers to prevent rot! Protect this tropical aristocrat from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes (room temperature should not drop below 15°C).

• 🐾 Pets: Friendly. Unlike many other showy tropical plants, this exotic beauty is non-toxic and completely safe to have around cats and dogs in your home.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

• Living room on a pedestal (a pedestal or high shelf where its heavy, drooping flowers can hang freely downward, creating a stunning visual effect).

• Bright bathroom with a window (if it has naturally elevated humidity from the shower and enough light).

• Bright bedroom (as an absolute and breathtaking central accent of the room, protected from drafts).
