CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the monstera to grow strong and eventually develop its famous split leaves, it needs quite a lot of light. It can survive in a shadier corner of the room, but growth will slow down and the leaves will remain whole (without holes). Strictly protect it from direct, scorching sunlight, which will quickly burn its leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate. Allow the top layer of soil (about 3-5 cm deep) to dry out completely between waterings. Monstera tolerates slight drying out much better than overwatering! If its thick roots sit in standing water in the saucer, it will quickly react with yellowing, browning leaves and root rot.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature. Being a tropical liana, it will greatly appreciate increased air humidity – its leaves can and should be regularly misted with soft, room-temperature water. Protect strictly from cold drafts, air conditioners, and open windows in winter (temperature must not drop below 15°C).

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. Its leaves and stems contain insoluble calcium oxalate crystals, which cause severe oral irritation, drooling, swelling, and digestive issues if chewed. Keep it out of reach of pets!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• Bright shelf or desk (thanks to its current compact size, it fits perfectly on any bright surface).

• Bright living room (as a future central and expressive design element when it grows).

• Bedroom (where its large leaves will later serve as an excellent air purifier).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen may slightly differ from the description. Also remember that monstera is a climbing vine in nature. When it grows and starts producing long shoots and aerial roots, it will need a sturdy support (such as a coconut fiber or moss pole) to climb upwards. Regularly wipe dust off the leaves so the plant can breathe better!
