Oleanders – Color Mix (Nerium oleander)
This magnificent and elegantly blooming Oleander is a true embodiment of Mediterranean charm, instantly bringing a sunny resort atmosphere to your home or terrace. It features elongated, leathery leaves and abundant, very expressive flower clusters. Since this is a plant mix and the flower color is not known in advance, the plant’s blooming will be a wonderful and intriguing surprise – flowers may bloom in soft pink, bright red, yellow, or pure white shades! It is a large, fast-growing, and bold plant that will become an absolute interior or terrace star. A great and very classic gift for experienced plant lovers who can provide the necessary winter rest.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
-
☀️ Light: Maximum bright light and direct sunlight. Oleander is a true sun lover – the more sun it gets, the more abundant and spectacular its blooms. South-facing windows or full open sun outdoors are exactly what it needs.
-
💧 Watering: Generous in summer, but very cautious in winter. On hot summer days, oleander consumes a lot of water, so keep the soil evenly moist (do not let it dry out!). During the winter dormancy period, watering should be reduced to an absolute minimum, allowing the soil to dry out thoroughly.
-
🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves heat during the active season. In warm months, the plant should definitely be taken outside into fresh air (on a balcony, terrace, or garden). For oleander to bloom again next year, it vitally needs a cool winter dormancy period – in winter, it should be placed in a bright but cool room (ideally around 5–10°C). Overwintering in warm and dry indoor air can quickly lead to spider mite infestation.
-
🐾 Pets: Absolutely not pet-friendly! Please note that oleander is extremely toxic. All parts of the plant (leaves, flowers, stems, sap) are poisonous to both humans and pets if ingested. Keep it strictly out of reach of cats, dogs, and small children! When pruning or repotting the plant, always wear garden gloves and wash your hands afterward.
🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:
-
Sunny terrace, balcony, or garden (absolutely the best and most natural place during summer months, where it will get direct sun and wind).
-
Cool, glazed veranda or conservatory (ideal place for the mandatory cool winter rest).
-
Spacious, sunny living room (if kept indoors, the plant must be kept at a safe distance from pets).
SPECIFICATIONS:
-
Height: 35-40 cm
-
Pot diameter: 13 cm
⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen may slightly differ from the image shown. Remember the intriguing fact – the flower color of this plant will be a pleasant surprise! Oleanders grow into large shrubs in nature, so to prevent the plant from becoming leggy and to encourage a lush, dense crown, it can and should be boldly pruned after flowering or in early spring (before bud formation).
