Cambria or Cambria Orchid (Cambria)
This extremely stunning and exotic Cambria is not found in the wild – it is a specially created orchid hybrid that combines the best qualities of several botanical species to delight us with striking, patterned flowers and to be easy to grow at home. It stands out with long, graceful flower spikes and flowers often adorned in mottled shades of burgundy, yellow, pink, or white, as well as interesting thickened parts (pseudobulbs) at the base of the plant. It is a refined and elegant flowering houseplant that will add a touch of luxury and tropical atmosphere to any interior. It makes a wonderful and long-lasting gift for both experienced orchid growers and anyone who loves colors and the beauty of nature!
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
-
☀️ Light: Bright, diffused light. For Cambria to bloom abundantly and produce new shoots, it needs plenty of light. The most suitable location is an east or west-facing windowsill. It must be protected from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which can quickly burn its light green leaves.
-
💧 Watering: Special and moderate. The best way to water the orchid is by soaking the pot in room temperature water for 10–15 minutes, then allowing excess water to drain completely. Unlike Phalaenopsis, Cambria roots should not be allowed to dry out completely (the substrate should be slightly moist but not wet). It is preferable to use soft, filtered, or rainwater for watering.
-
🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives well at standard room temperature. To encourage the formation of new flower spikes, the plant enjoys slight temperature fluctuations between day and night (cooler at night). It will appreciate increased air humidity, but never spray water directly on the flowers, as this will cause unsightly spots and the flowers will wilt quickly.
-
🐾 Pets: Friendly. This flowering tropical beauty is non-toxic and completely safe to have in your home with cats and dogs.
🏠 BEST ROOM:
-
Bright bedroom (if the room gets a bit cooler at night, it will greatly encourage the orchid’s blooming).
-
Living room by an east or west window (as an absolute centerpiece and blooming accent of the room).
-
Bright bathroom with a window (where the plant can enjoy naturally increased humidity, but be careful of excessive heat).
SPECIFICATIONS:

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen may differ slightly from the one shown in the picture. Since "Cambria" is the name of a hybrid group, flower color, shape, and patterns can vary significantly. Important to know: the thickened parts (pseudobulbs) at the base of the plant are water and nutrient storage organs. When the plant is blooming or lacks moisture, these bulbs may shrink slightly – this is a completely natural process. When the flower spike has completely dried and turned brown, it can be safely cut off.
