• 💧 Watering: Regular and even. Unlike common phalaenopsis, zygopetalums dislike prolonged dryness. Keep the substrate lightly and evenly moist, but never let it soak in standing water! Golden rule: be extremely careful when watering to avoid water getting on the plant’s leaves and the center of new shoots, as this can quickly cause unsightly black spots and rot.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives in moderate room temperature and requires increased air humidity. As mentioned, in pleasant room warmth, the plant will release its charming floral fragrance. Natural temperature fluctuations (slightly cooler nights and warmer days) will help stimulate the formation of new flower spikes in the future. Protect strictly from hot and dry radiator air!

It is also worth knowing that zygopetalum leaves are very sensitive – even with the best care, small black dots tend to appear on them.
