Philodendron 'Brandtianum' or Silver Philodendron (Philodendron brandtianum)

This charming and highly sought-after Philodendron 'Brandtianum' is truly an elegant and modern climbing plant. Its olive-green, heart-shaped leaves are richly covered with broad, shimmering silver patches and streaks, resembling a delicate natural painting. CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, diffused light. To maintain the beautiful and rich silver pattern, the plant needs plenty of light. In too dark a spot, the leaves will become uniformly greener and growth will slow down significantly. Be sure to protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which can burn the delicate leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate. Allow the top layer of soil (about 3–5 cm) to dry out completely between waterings. As an epiphyte, this philodendron tolerates short periods of drying out much better than prolonged soaking in standing water (overwatering will quickly rot its roots).

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature. Although it can adapt to normal indoor light, the plant will be very grateful for increased air humidity and occasional misting (especially during the heating season). Higher humidity will help it grow significantly larger and more beautiful leaves. Protect from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs if eaten or chewed (contains calcium oxalate crystals), causing irritation of the mouth and digestive tract.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

• Bright living room (placed on a high shelf or gracefully climbing a plant support in a corner of the room).

• Well-lit bedroom (will bring a calming natural atmosphere and quietly purify the air).

• Bright bathroom with a window (the plant will literally adore the naturally high humidity there).
