CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Extremely adaptable! The philodendron will grow best and fastest in bright but MUST be indirect light (east/west-facing window). However, this is one of the few plants that can survive perfectly well in lower light and partial shade, making it ideal for darker corners. Protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which will burn the leaves and turn them yellow.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful - the philodendron has learned to forgive drought but hates overwatering! Water the plant thoroughly, but ONLY when the top layer of soil (at least half the depth of the pot) has dried out completely. It categorically cannot tolerate having its roots soak in standing water in the saucer. If the leaves start turning yellow, this is the first unmistakable sign that the plant is being watered too frequently.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It feels excellent and comfortable at normal room temperature (+18°C to +25°C). This tropical survivor is fully adapted to dry indoor air, but from time to time it will be very happy if you rinse its leaves under a warm shower to wash off dust and restore their shine.

• 🐾 Keep away from pets and children: Philodendrons contain calcium oxalate crystals in their leaves and stems that are toxic. Chewing or swallowing them causes a burning sensation in the mouth, irritation and digestive tract problems in dogs and cats.

• Bookshelves, macramé hangers, tall cabinets and shaded corners, from which this magnificent green heart-shaped cascade can flow freely downward, creating a waterfall effect.

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about philodendrons: Plants are living organisms, and Philodendron scandens is a true champion of fast growth! An important botanical fact and design opportunity: This is a climbing vine (liana). When its vines begin growing rapidly in length, you have two excellent choices. You can leave it trailing, allowing the vines to flow downward or wind across shelves, OR you can insert a moss pole into the pot and let it climb upward (in this case, the leaves will become significantly larger over time). If the vine ever becomes too long or "bare", feel free to take your scissors and trim it! This will encourage the plant to become bushier at the base, while you can simply place the cuttings in a glass of water - they will produce roots within just a couple of weeks!
