CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Maximum bright light and direct sunlight! For the palm to grow strong, maintain its bright green color, and prevent leaf stretching, it vitally needs a large amount of sun. A south, southeast, or southwest-facing windowsill is absolutely ideal.

• 💧 Watering: Thorough but moderate. The palm likes to drink well but then needs a break. Allow the top layer of soil (about 3-5 cm deep) to dry out completely between waterings. It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot and browning leaves! Watering should be significantly reduced in winter.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves warmth and fresh air! In the warm spring and summer months, it is definitely recommended to take this palm outside into fresh air on a sunny terrace or balcony (initially acclimate it gradually to direct sun to avoid leaf burn). In winter (dormant period), it will do well in a cooler and very bright room (ideally around 10–15°C). It tolerates normal indoor air well but protect it from hot, dry radiator air in winter.

• 🐾 Pets: Friendly, but with one "but"! The palm’s leaves themselves are not toxic to pets, but important warning: as the plant grows near the base of the leaves (close to the trunk), sharp, long spines develop. Although this specimen is still relatively small, be careful yourself and protect your pets’ eyes and noses!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• Bright and sunny terrace or balcony in summer (absolutely the best place for this plant during the active season).

• Bright living room with a south-facing window (as a very noticeable, tropical room accent).

• Bright winter garden or glazed loggia (a great place for overwintering).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its crown fullness may vary. It is important to know the natural secrets about palms: this is a young plant, so it has not yet developed the classic thick palm trunk (which will slowly form over the years)! In nature, palms grow upward, and their lower (older) leaves naturally turn brown, dry out, and fall off – this is a normal trunk formation process, not a disease. You can carefully cut off the dried lower leaves, but it is strictly forbidden to trim the palm’s top because that is where the plant’s only growth point is! Palms have long and strong taproots, so when it’s time to repot, be sure to choose a deep, not wide pot, and use heavier but well-draining palm soil (mixed with sand or perlite).
