CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the pilea to maintain its fantastic "mojito" variegation and grow large leaves, it needs a lot of light. In too dark a place, it will quickly become leggy, and the leaf variegation will disappear, turning simply green. An east or west-facing windowsill is ideal, but strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which can quickly burn its thin leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and attentive. Pilea likes to drink, but it tolerates short dry periods much better than overwatering! Allow the top layer of soil (about 2-3 cm deep) to dry out completely between waterings. It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot and leaf drop. If the plant is thirsty, you will notice immediately – the leaves will droop slightly and become soft.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature and adapts well to normal indoor light. It will appreciate slightly higher humidity but will do well without it. In winter, strictly protect it from cold drafts and open windows!

• 🐾 Pets: Friendly. This variegated "money plant" is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the intensity of its leaf variegation is completely unique and may vary slightly. Important to know nature’s secrets: pilea is extremely phototropic (it quickly and purposefully bends toward the light source). To keep the plant growing symmetrically with a straight stem, remember to regularly (once a week) rotate it slightly! Over time, the lower (older) leaves naturally yellow and fall off, forming a woody stem for the plant – this is a normal process. The most exciting thing about this plant is that it generously produces "babies" or new shoots directly from the soil around the mother plant! When they have grown, you can carefully separate and plant them in individual pots to delight your friends. When repotting, be sure to use airy and loose houseplant soil with good drainage.
