Natural and Effective Solution for Pest Control

Are annoying spider mites or thrips damaging your houseplants? Predator mites are the most effective and nature-friendly way to get rid of pests without using harmful chemicals.

These small, beneficial insects (about 1 mm in size) are your plants’ personal army – they actively hunt and eat pests, breaking their reproduction cycle. They are ideal for use indoors, on houseplants, as well as in greenhouses and covered areas.

Please note that this is a group order. We do not breed or package predator mites ourselves – we place orders directly from the leading producer "Koppert" to ensure you receive the freshest and most effective product.

• Shipping dates: Predator mites are shipped twice a month on specific dates (see the notice at the top of the page), when we have received a fresh delivery.

• Freshness: As soon as they arrive from the producer, they are immediately packed and sent to you the next working day.

• Set: Packages are sold in sets of 5 pieces. Price per set (5 pcs) – 8.50 €.

Which Pests Do Predator Mites Fight?

The predator mites we offer are a solution for fighting the most common pests in their various development stages:

• Common spider mite (Tetranychus urticae)

• Red fruit tree spider mite (Panonychus ulmi)

• Red citrus mite (Panonynchus citri)

• Young larvae of various thrips species

• Whitefly eggs and larvae

• Tarsonemid mite (Polyphagotarsonemus latus)

• Strawberry mite (Tarsonemus pallidus)

Important: Predator mites are not effective on tomatoes. The fuzzy structure of tomato leaves hinders mite movement.

How Many Packages Do I Need?

The dose depends on the plant arrangement and the severity of the infestation.

• For prevention / Low infestation: 1 package per 1-2 m² (if plant leaves touch) OR 1 package per each separately standing plant.

• Strong infestation: We recommend using more packages (for example, doubling the dose) so predator mites can deal with pests faster.

The package contains predator mites in all development stages (eggs, larvae, adult mites), so it works continuously for about 6 weeks, providing a constant flow of new "soldiers".

To achieve complete pest population control, usually 2–3 releases of predator mites are needed.

How to Use Predator Mites Correctly?

Usage is extremely simple, but some important rules must be followed:

1. Hang the packages: Hang the packages on plant branches or leaf stalks, preferably closer to the middle of the plant and protected from direct sunlight.

2. DO NOT OPEN! Under no circumstances should the packages be torn or opened. They already have microscopic holes through which the mites will gradually come out on their own.

3. NO CHEMICALS: While predator mites are active, plants must not be sprayed with insecticides (including neem oil or green soaps), as this will kill the beneficial insects as well.

4. DO NOT WASH: Do not treat plants with a water shower or clean the leaves, so as not to wash off the predator mites from the plant.

Storage and Delivery

• USE IMMEDIATELY: Predator mites are living organisms and cannot be stored for long. They must be hung on plants immediately after receipt (maximum storage time is 1-2 days in a cool, dark place).

• Cold weather: If the air temperature at delivery is below +5°C, be sure to add a warming element to the order so the mites do not freeze during transport.
