CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, generous, but indirect light (or gentle morning/evening sun). This is the secret behind the plant's lush silhouette and light-green tones: to keep the "bamboo" dense and prevent it from becoming weak and leggy, it needs plenty of light. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun, which can quickly burn and dry out its delicate, fragile leaves. An east- or west-facing windowsill will be perfect.

• 💧 Watering: Regular, generous, and extremely careful – this plant is a thirsty water lover! Pogonatherum naturally grows in damp areas and along riverbanks, so it enjoys constant, even moisture in the soil. Water the plant generously as soon as the very top layer of soil (the top 1 cm of the pot) begins to dry slightly. The soil should be pleasantly moist, like a wrung-out sponge. GOLDEN RULE: never, under any circumstances, allow the root ball to dry out completely! If the soil dries out completely, the delicate leaves will curl up and turn brown within a day. At the same time, do not let it remain in standing water for long periods.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It feels excellent and comfortable in moderate room temperatures (+18°C to +24°C). This plant absolutely loves increased air humidity, so it will be most grateful for being placed near a humidifier or for regular misting. In winter, strictly protect it from the hot, dry air of radiators and icy drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly / Non-toxic. Indoor bamboo is completely non-toxic to dogs and cats. However, be careful – since this is a grass, cats often regard it as tasty "cat grass" and may chew it down to the roots. If you have a cat, place this beauty somewhere safe for the sake of the plant's appearance, not its safety!

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about indoor bamboo: Plants are living organisms, so every specimen and the exact density and curvature of its stems are completely unique works of nature. An important dose of reality: brown and dried leaf tips are a completely normal occurrence, indicating that the air in the room is too dry or that the plant has dried out slightly (which often happens during the heating season). You can safely trim off the dried tips or even refresh the entire plant by trimming it with scissors like hair – it will quickly grow back even lusher! When you repot it in the future, you MUST use a special, moisture-retentive, peat-based, and very well-draining houseplant soil mix, which will help maintain an even moisture level around the roots.
