Rhipsalis Red Coral

Rhipsalis 'Red Coral' or Red Coral Cactus (Pseudorhipsalis ramulosa 'Red Coral')

This extremely unusual and visually striking epiphytic jungle cactus surprises with its flat, hanging leaves (stems) that turn fiery red and purple shades in bright light. Interestingly, under good conditions, small delicate flowers tend to form along the leaf edges, which later turn into bead-like berries, creating an even greater impression of a natural work of art. Unlike desert cacti, this one has no sharp spines and requires completely different growing conditions! It is an excellent, very decorative hanging houseplant that will become a colorful and dynamic interior accent in your space. It is an exotic and expressive gift for any lover of unusual plants!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, diffused light with some direct morning or evening sun rays. Important: the plant’s color directly depends on the amount of light! The more light it receives, the more vivid red and burgundy its leaves become. In a darker spot, they lose their redness and turn completely green.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate but regular. Since this is a tropical forest (epiphytic) cactus, not a desert cactus, it does not like prolonged dryness. Allow the top layer of soil (about 3-5 cm) to dry out completely between waterings, but do not let the soil become rock hard. Strictly protect from prolonged soaking in standing water!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature. Unlike other cacti, this one greatly enjoys increased air humidity and will appreciate regular misting. In summer, it can be placed outside on a balcony or garden (protected from midday heat).

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This exotic coral cactus is non-toxic and completely safe to have in your home with cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

• Bright living room or bedroom (will look perfect hanging in a macramé pot near a window, where it can get its vivid color and hang freely downwards).

• Bathroom with good lighting (the plant will literally adore the naturally high humidity there).
