CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the Schefflera to maintain and produce its wonderfully variegated yellow leaves, it needs quite a lot of indirect light. In too shady a spot, its leaves will simply turn green, and the plant will weaken. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching sunlight, which will quickly burn its leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful. It is much easier to kill a Schefflera by overwatering than by underwatering! Allow the top layer of soil (about 3-5 cm deep) to dry out completely between waterings. It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause leaf browning and dropping. Reduce watering slightly in winter.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature. Although it adapts well to normal indoor light, this tropical beauty will greatly appreciate increased air humidity – it can be regularly misted with soft, lukewarm water. Strictly protect it from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes, and do not leave it near an open window in winter!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. Its sap contains substances (calcium oxalate crystals) that can cause oral irritation, drooling, vomiting, and digestive issues if chewed. Keep it out of reach of pets!

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its leaf variegation may differ slightly from the description (on one Schefflera, there can be almost completely yellow as well as completely green leaves). Important to know: to ensure the plant grows symmetrically and straight, remember to regularly (every couple of weeks) rotate it slightly toward the light source! Also, Scheffleras love a "shower" and leaf dusting – this not only restores leaf shine but also helps them breathe better and perform their air-purifying function. If the plant becomes too tall over time, its top can be safely pruned in spring to stimulate side branch growth and even fuller growth.
