Exclusive miniature silver wax plant 'Eskimo' (Hoya krohniana 'Eskimo')

Get ready to welcome the most adorable, delicate, and highly prized tropical treasure among houseplant connoisseurs into your collection – the stunning Hoya 'Eskimo'! This exotic and highly sought-after wax plant among collectors is a true natural gem, enchanting completely with its miniature, compact structure and poetic appearance. The plant’s greatest pride, magnet, and unique calling card is its surreal foliage: from fine, winding shoots grow small, firm, thick-walled heart and rhombus-shaped leaves almost entirely covered with a shimmering silver-white "frost" or snow-like coating (splash). This silvery coloring perfectly reflects light, while the leaf base retains a dark green jade tone, creating a stunning contrast. But the magic doesn’t end there – when mature, this Hoya regularly blooms with wonderful, small, fluffy flower clusters in creamy white tones that begin to emit a divine, sweet, and exotic fragrance in the evenings. The plant naturally forms a thick, airy cascade and is renowned for its durability. Currently, it is a small, compact, yet extremely strong and valuable 10 cm young plant in a miniature 6 cm pot. It is the most coveted, prestigious, and guaranteed unforgettable gift for wax plant collectors, romantics, and anyone seeking elite-class natural delicacy!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: Bright, abundant, but MANDATORILY diffused light. Here lies the main secret of this plant’s silvery frost and abundant flowering: Hoya 'Eskimo' requires a large amount of light to maintain its famous bright leaf tone and to have enough energy to produce small, fragrant flower clusters (it will especially enjoy gentle morning or late evening sun). However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will instantly burn its miniature leaves. The best spot is near an east or west-facing window.

  • 💧 Watering: Extremely moderate, infrequent, and very thoughtful. Since this Hoya has distinctly thick, succulent leaves, they store moisture reserves well, and the plant cannot tolerate living in constant swampy conditions. Water the plant generously, but only when the soil in the pot is completely, 100% dry between waterings! Since the plant is in a miniature 6 cm pot, it will dry out relatively quickly in warm weather. The plant absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer or decorative container, which will quickly cause sensitive root rot. If in doubt – wait a few more days.

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A warmth-loving tropical resident (ideally +18°C to +25°C). Thanks to its thick, waxy leaves, this Hoya adapts perfectly and without any problems to normal, dry indoor air and does not require mandatory air humidification, making it an exceptionally grateful plant even during the winter heating season. The only rule: protect it from sharp temperature fluctuations and cold drafts in winter!

  • 🐾 Pets: Friendly. This exotic and shimmering miniature Hoya is completely non-toxic and absolutely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 MOST SUITABLE ROOM:

  • Bright and warm shelves, desks, or spots in small hanging pots near windows, where these delicate, silvery strands will be at eye level and serve as the main conversation piece.

  • Modern bedrooms or creative studios, where in the evenings you can best enjoy the plant’s pleasant and gentle aroma, bringing a sense of peace and exoticism to the room.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Height/Length: 10 cm (compact, well-cared-for, strong, and extremely valuable young collection plant)

  • Pot diameter: 6 cm (miniature, compact volume perfectly suited to the plant’s current development stage)

⚠️ Note and reality check about collection Hoyas: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its exact density of snow-white silver leaf coating or shoot development may vary slightly, creating a unique natural form. Important secret: Hoyas really like a very narrow, compact environment, so do not repot it into a pot that is too large. Let it live in this same 6 cm pot until the roots boldly start to peek through the bottom holes. When you repot it in the future, be sure to use an extremely airy, porous, and well-draining succulent/epiphyte soil mix (peat generously mixed with perlite and fine pine bark) to ensure water drains instantly through the pot and the roots can always breathe freely.
