CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Maximum bright light and direct sunlight. For the palm’s leaves to grow firm, strong, and compact, it vitally needs a large amount of sun! A south, southeast, or southwest-facing windowsill is absolutely the best choice. In a dark corner of the room, its stems will quickly stretch and become weak.

• 💧 Watering: Abundant in summer, but moderate in winter. During the active growing season, keep the soil evenly lightly moist, allowing the top layer of soil (about 3-5 cm) to dry out between waterings. It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, as this quickly causes root rot! Watering should be significantly reduced during the winter months.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature and, unlike many tropical palms, tolerates normal, dry indoor air excellently! During the warm summer months, it is highly recommended to take this palm outside into the sun on a terrace or balcony. In winter, it will be very happy if you can provide slightly cooler and bright conditions (around 10–15°C).

• 🐾 Pets: Friendly. This majestic and exotic palm is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Sunny terrace, balcony, or garden in summer (the absolutely best place where it can freely spread, grow rapidly, and enjoy direct sunlight).

• Spacious and sunny living room with large windows (as a powerful central design element of the room).

• Bright office, conservatory, or lounge (where the palm will have enough space for an airy crown).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen may differ slightly from the description. Important to know: in nature, older, lower leaves of Washingtonia dry out, bend down, and remain attached to the trunk, forming a kind of "skirt" that protects the palm from desert heat. In indoor conditions, this is a completely normal botanical process – when a lower leaf starts to yellow and dry out (giving energy to new leaves in the crown center), you can simply and neatly cut it close to the trunk to maintain a tidy appearance! Repotting the palm should only be done when truly necessary, doing so very carefully and trying to disturb its sensitive root system as little as possible.
